see u, not again

What a shitto. A couple, i presummed they are from EU's country. Left only 10p for us. (!!??) Seriously i don't get it. If so, i would prefer if you don't tip at all. 10 p?! what's the point, to show your appreciation? or our service was only equivalence to 10p? Not just that, left the place without knowing how to say a word thank you. Make me felt disgusted for such behaviour.

Another case, yesterday a strange customer made a really funny statement. She told us, our chicken tasted like pork. The message flew back to kitchen and everyone burst into laughter. What a joker. Hello customer, your complaints really made our day! When i was checking if everything's going well at her table, she said so-so. I appreaciate her honesty for telling "this is my first, and also last". Yea, so do we. Put yourself in our shoes, what would you do? Change back to pork, so it would taste like chicken? Why is it i don't see the next table telling us that when they ordered the same?

Uh, thank you for not coming again.

  1. Look at it this way, 10p is better than nothing. Right? ;)
If no, what's your ideal tip amount?

  2. hello anonymous.

yes 10p is indeed better than nth. but when your basic salary is real low, n very much depending on tipping, of course the more the better? and when 10p has to be divided equally among other waiting staffs (4 at the moment), how much do u get ? i let u do the calculations.

did i answer your question? ;)

oh btw, what can u get out there with 10p?

  5. I KNOW WHAT 10p MEANS! I'm not a moran!

Also, tell your employer to take the 10p & shove it up her hole because spiltting the moolah is equivalent to drudge stipend.
Why, back in my waitering days tips we received we didn't share with anyone.

Employers these days. No benignancy at all I tells ya.

  6. Hey again, anonymous.

Lol. chill dude. I was just trying to make a point that i cant get nothing with 10p these days. Whats more having to divide with other colleagues. The underlying statement here, still back to the customers.

Look back on what you've said for the first n last comment. You're just contradicting yourself. Maybe you just don't understand.

Oh well, thats ze waitress life. The ups and downs. And the whole idea why this place(blog) exists. Of course we're not relying on those lil pennies to survive. We do groups and parties.

Every restaurant has got their tipping policy. Likewise, we divide ours equally at the end of every week. Good for ya you get to keep yours and dont have to share with the rest.

With the economy these days, it's really hard to monopoly or predict the biz. See, you made me start again. Employer already digging own wallet to feed us.. We work hard for our tip. Thats what we called something extra on top of your basic. Trust me, not easy to become a manager either. So yea, I rest my case. Hope it explains.
